Payment is accepted by check or money order (in US funds) and must accompany ad materials. The Journal also accepts Master Card and Visa. Please contact Sheila Dolan (860-535-1159) to pay by credit card. Make all checks or money orders payable to USASA and clearly label what the check is for on the front of your check.
If you would like to do your own layout, the following applies: Formats accepted (in either Mac or Windows) are Photoshop TIFF or JPEG at 250–300 dpi, Adobe Acrobat PDF (Press resolution – 300 dpi), Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress 4.1 or higher. Microsoft Word, Publisher or PowerPoint formatted ads cannot be used as is, but can be recreated if original graphics are included. Include a hard copy (printout) of the ad as well as the electronic files. Indicate on the hard copy the names and sizes of the fonts. You must include all linked or embedded photos and fonts (Mac or Windows). Send the files on a zip disk or CD.
If you would like us to create your ad: Send a mock-up of the design you would like, including font names and sizes. Include original photographs or a CD or Zip Disk with high resolution (250-300 dpi) digital photos saved in TIFF or JPEG format. If you would like the photo cropped, please send a printout or copy of the photo to indicate where you want it cropped. Do not cut or mark on the original photo. Ink jet and laser printouts of photos will not be accepted for publication.
If you send ad materials overnight, please Waive Signature to ensure that the material is delivered.
Proofs will be furnished by email in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, so please include your email address with your other contact information.
