Awards Program - Overview

UASASA proudly gives special recognition to its members and their dogs through several USASA awards programs. These programs are only open to USASA members.

USASA Annual Awards Program

USASA recognizes the Top Ten winners in each category (Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Agility, and Herding) each year through the Annual Awards Program (often referred to as “Year-End Awards”). Awards are based on year-end standings. The year is defined as the calendar year (January 1st thru December 31st of each year).

Scores are based on information provided by the AKC. You must be a USASA member at the time scores are earned for them to count under the Program.

Statistics and standings for the year are printed in each issue of the Journal.

The first place winner in each category receives an engraved plaque commemorating their achievement and a photo (if provided) is published in the September/October issue of the Journal.

Certificates are issued to the Top Ten dogs in each category.
